“The best
way to find you is to lose yourself in the service of others”
The responsibility of
non-profit organizations is disappearing in societies of future. In most
societies, governments are ready to limit their role. Corporations will be accountable
for the commercial actions of the culture and non-profit organizations would be
accountable for the community and charitable tasks of the society along with
the government.
It
is expected that the government would ultimately withdraw from social and gentle
tasks too as its technical structure is unusually unbefitting for carrying out
such activities. Non-profit organizations like SERUDS have enormous resources at them and this is only going to boost.
As
societies become wealthier, their citizens and corporations will contribute
more to charities as well as governments take out from the social sector, they
are going to direct the resources meant for social examine through the
non-profit organizations.
Hence
the non-profit organizations’ responsibilities and resources are increasing in
future and they should be gearing up to raise their act a score or two.
Non-profit organizations are not doing fine as organizations and their not interesting
performance cannot be condoned, but superior their missions might be.
But
most non-profit organizations have not developed the managerial sophistication
that is essential for survival in the profitable arena. This incompetence and ineptness
should not be tolerated since societies’ income is being wasted and there is a
big constituent in society whose lives are going to be better if the non-profit
organizations spruced positive their performance.
Though
non-profit organizations don’t have structures like banks & stocks to move
up resources, they can still trim down their cost of raising their resources by
employing the best marketing practices of the private organizations. SERUDS (Sai Educational Rural &
Urban Development Society) tries to build relationships through customers so
that they remain with the corporation for a long time.
Non-profit organizations should not be overly worried about
their existence in perpetuity and dispense with the funds with the purpose of
they have earlier rather than later, unless they have stronger logic than
keeping themselves in survival for everlastingly. Foundations need to move
around their strategy of donating only around 5% of their assets/ year. There
is a lot of capital kept in waiting to resolve the problems of near future when
there are social problems in large numbers today.
